1999  This Space Between Us as Peternelle

In this comedy drama, filmmaker Alex (Jeremy Sisto) returns to San Francisco after his wife passes away and after he stabs Gary Marshall with a pen. He meets a variety of people who try to help him get his life back on track.  Alex Kingston plays Peternelle, a rich art-loving friend of Alex's, who invites him to stay in her mansion. This indie film won Best Comedy at the Santa Monica Film Festival in 2000.  Directed by Matthew Leutwyler.

1998 Croupier as Jani de Villiers

This British drama follows Jack Manfred (Clive Owen) as he takes a job as a croupier (dealer) at a casino.  Jack meets  a gambler, Jani (Alex Kingston), who urges him to take on a role in a robbery at the casino.  Critic Roger Ebert praised the film's atmosphere and characterization.  Directed by Mike Hodges.

1996 Saint-Ex as the Chic Party Guest

This docudrama is about French aviator/writer (The Little Prince), Antoine-de-Saint-Exupéry (Bruno Ganz) and features Miranda Richardson as his wife.  The film was produced by the BBC, Majestic Films International and The Oxford Film Company. Directed by Anand Tucker.

1995 Carrington as Frances Partridge

This British drama is about painter Dora Carrington's special relationship with her gay friend, Lytton Strachey over several decades.  Alex Kingston appears as Frances Partridge, the new wife of Dora's ex-husband, Ralph.  Directed by Christopher Hampton.

1994 A Pin for the Butterfly as Mrs. Solomon

This British-Czech drama set in Stalinist Czechoslovakia is about a family, as seen through the eyes of a young girl.  The girl's uncle (Hugh Laurie) is a dissident in the 1950's communist era.  Alex Kingston appears as a neighbour, Mrs. Solomon, in Prague. Directed by Hannah Kodicek.

1989 The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover as Adele

This British-French dark comedy/crime drama is about a gangster, Spica (Michael Gambon), who takes over a restaurant.  The Cook (Richard Bohringer) does not support Spica's intrusion.  After Spica's wife (Helen Mirren) has an affair and goes into hiding, Spica hunts her down through a local schoolboy. Alex Kingston plays Adele, a waitress at the restaurant. Directed by Peter Greenaway.

1980 The Wildcats of St. Trinian's as an uncredited student

This comedy is the fifth film in a series set at fictional  St. Trinian's School.  This film is about the students going on strike.  Alex Kingston appears in an uncredited role as one of  the schoolgirls.   Directed by Frank Launder.
