2016  Happily Ever After as Ria

Directed by Joan Carr-Wiggin. In tis comedy/drama Alex Kingston is a homemaker and mother with secrets.  Her daughter is preparing for her wedding and re-acquainting herself with a visiting childhood friend. Filmed on location in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.

2013 Bukowski as Katharina Bukowski

Directed by James Franco. A bio-drama about writer Charles Bukowski's formative years.

2011  Ghost Phone:  Phone Calls from the Dead as Sheila

Directed by Jeffrey F. Jackson.  In this dark comedy, William (Nelson Franklin) begins receiving calls from the dead on his deceased wife's cellphone.

2009  Sordid Things as Eve Manchester

Directed by Andrew Bloomenthal. In this drama/suspense film, Eva Manchester (Alex Kingston) and her husband arrange for a cousin to be a surrogate mother for a baby. However, the plotting cousin reneges on the agreement and seeks to hold the baby as ransom.

2007 Crashing as Diane Freed

Directed by Gary Walkow.   In this indie-comedy, Richard (Campbell Scott) is a writer working on his second novel. Alex Kingston is Richard's former girlfriend, now a college instructor, who invites Richard to speak to her class. Richard then accepts an offer by two attractive female college students to move in with them.

2006 Alpha Dog as Tiffany Hartunian

Directed by Nick Cassavetes.  This crime drama is based on the real-life story of the kidnapping and murder of a teen (Anton Yelchin) because his older brother owed a drug debt to the Alpha Dog drug dealer (Emile Hirsch).  Alex Kingston plays Tiffany Hartunian, mother of one of the kidnapper's friends who befriends the teen.

2005  Sweet Land as Brownie

Directed by Ali Selim.  In this period drama set after the first World War, a young woman, Inge, arrives in America to become a bride in an arranged marriage.  The community finds out she is German and turns against her.  Inge and her husband-to-be try to be together. Alex Kingston plays the wife of a friend.   This film was made on location in Minnesota.  The Los Angeles Times named the film one of the ten best films of 2006.

2003 Warrior Queen as Boudica

Directed by Bill Anderson.  This British television film features Alex Kingston as historical figure, Boudica, Queen of a Celtic (Iceni) tribe.  Boudica works to unite the tribes of Britain against Rome and its mad emperor, Nero.  Boudica bravely leads her tribe into battle against the Roman Empire.

2000  Essex Boys as Lisa Locke

Directed by Terry Winsor.  This crime drama-thriller is about three men caught up in drug deals and violence. It is loosely based on the death of two drug barons and their driver in Essex in 1995. Alex Kingston appears as Lisa, the wife of a thug played by Sean Bean.
